Massaranduba from Brazil is one of the best exotic woods that can be used outdoors, as it isvery durable. It is quiteresistantto fungi and insects, but it should not be used in areas close to the sea. It has usually quite uniform reddish color. It is a wood with excellent qualities, less known in Portugal than ipe, but also of very high quality.
